Wildflower Honey 🐝

I was extracting honey this week with a friend of mine that needed some help. Till today the honey had been orange honey but is now a mixture of wildflower. I happen to look down into the trough where almost all the honey lands and noticed something strange. On the right side of me was a puddle of orange honey, “which is almost clear,” and to the left was the wildflower honey, ” which is a deep Amber color.” The wildflower honey was sliding down into the orange and changing the color dark. It quickly overtook the orange and slid down the trough into the bottom bucket. This reminded me of times in my life with drugs and alcohol, amongst other things. My life was going so nice and along comes the devil with all his enticements. He dangles those carrots in front of my face and before I know it I’ve been caught in Satan’s snare. I get stuck in the darkness, feeling as though I’m being sucked down to a dismal abyss. I’m not going to lie to all of you. The devil has things that are super fun, for a minute. Some of my most fun times were when I was using drugs and drinking. You wanna know what was at the end of that fun road? Divorce, lost my kids, multiple jobs down the drain, DUI, anger management classes, jail, fighting, and spending all the money we had as a family to support my habit. Not to mention all the bridges I burned along the way, and no self-respect. My advice to you would be to run as soon as you feel like you are being tempted, flee as fast as you can.

β€œSo give yourselves completely to God. Stand against the devil, and the devil will run from you.”
