“The LORD answers, “Can a woman forget the baby she nurses? Can she feel no kindness for the child to which she gave birth? Even if she could forget her children, I will not forget you. See, I have written your name on my hand. Jerusalem, I always think about your walls.” Isaiah 49:15-16 NCV
I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands!
It is comforting to know that God will never forget us. Share this with someone today.🙏
I used to be a person that had to do everything myself. I did this to prove myself to others because growing up people made fun of me for not being very smart. Year after year I would be the boss and the laborer, and year after year my body would break down even more. I would come home not only physically drained from doing a 3 person job but also feel like my brain was tossed in a blender. I trained at the gym every morning for hours to have the strength to carry the huge loads of wood and concrete needed to get through the job. It was exhausting to say the least! Over the last 4 years my body has been suffering quite a bit and is harder and harder for me to accomplish the smallest of tasks. Over the last four years however God has placed people in my life to help carry the load, “Praise God!” At first it was incredibly hard to accept that help from others because being humble to me meant being weak. God has shown me though that being humble actually makes you stronger. Not only are the jobs looking a whole lot better but I’m giving my body time to heal. I’m able to accept help and sharing my building knowledge with others. Yesterday God blessed me with a friend that worked with me and is coming back today to finish the job. This help came just in the nick o’ time too because my plate is being loaded down with more things to do. If you have not reached out for help and your days seem overwhelming, try asking God for assistance. It’s amazing how just those simple words to Him will change everything. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for yet another beautiful day. Thank you for the opportunity to be better Christians than the day before. Help us to rely on your guidance today and be more accepting of your help. We give you our day today and submit to you our plans. Thank you dear Jesus, in your name we pray, Amen! Philippians 2:3 do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.
My wife and I had purchased over 100 chickens. We were questioning why we had done this as we looked at each other in the car afterwards. God had provided all of the food and treatment for them and we never felt financially burdened by them. Seemed like all of the sudden this virus had hit and many people were going without because of the hoarding at the grocery stores. My wife and I had noticed that eggs and milk were completely wiped out amongst other things. God is good and impressed us to distribute eggs and prayers. We are part of multiple prayer chain texting groups, so we let them know what we will be doing. Our Ad said this, “During this time of need we would like to help by giving out eggs and prayers, send a text letting us know when and where”. The responses have been incredible to say the least and it has been awesomely rewarding. Not only do we have the opportunity to feed people physically but spiritually as well. We lift them up to God for His mighty protecting and a special blessing over their home against this terrible virus. We can do the simplest of things during times like these to inspire others to have strength and encourage their faith in our Heavenly Father. What can you do today to help change someone’s life? Give your burdens to God and ask Him what you can do.
“Give us today the food we need,” Matthew 6:11 NLT
We have seen empty shelves and heard several stories of people hoarding necessities that are needed during the Covid-19 pandemic. God wants us to depend on him daily. It reminds me, in the Old Testament when God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. They were complaining to Moses and God that there is little food in the wilderness. God heard their plea and provided manna to fall from the sky. The Israelites were instructed to only pick up as much food as they needed for that day. On the sixth day they will gather food, and when they prepare it, there will be twice as much as usual. They did not gather on Sabbath. What can we learn from this? Yes, God will provide our needs. He loves us and will take care of us.
“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 NLT
Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. A hired hand will run when he sees a wolf coming. He will abandon the sheep because they don’t belong to him and he isn’t their shepherd. And so the wolf attacks them and scatters the flock. The hired hand runs away because he’s working only for the money and doesn’t really care about the sheep. “I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep. I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd.”
