Ouch!!!

My back had gone out on me this morning and I had lots of physical work that needed to be done. Now instead of working I’m limping around town looking like a kicked puppy. After making a same day doctors appointment and sitting there waiting, I couldn’t seem to get comfortable. I couldn’t wait to be all fixed up and running around again. While the waiting seemed like an eternity it gave me time to call upon my Heavenly Father and a couple close friends to pray for me. Not so much the pain to go away, but to keep my mind from constantly running. The doctor came in and gave me a really hot shot in my rump that burned for a minute. The shot took about a half hour to kick in but dulled the sharp pain in my back. Getting through this life can be painful at times and seem to take a while for you to be able to relax. Hang in there, God knows what you are going through and is guiding us through. Your hot shot will be here soon enough. Heavenly Father, thank you for getting us through these tough and trying times. In Jesus mighty name Amen.

Grace

Have you come to Jesus to be cleansed by grace? Oxy clean may remove the spots of our outer garments, but to clean the stains of sin in our hearts it takes the power of the blood of Jesus Christ. It’s called GRACE! It blots it out permanently never to be remembered by God again. We come to him as filthy rags then he washes us as white as snow and clothes us with His righteousness. All we have to do is ASK!

Sin

Every time we sin we are turning our back on God. We may feel as though God is ignoring us but it’s us denying Him. Whenever I turn to God so that I won’t sin and bury my face in His words I am triumphant. When I blatantly sin then I am turning my back on Him. If you are anything like me, instant gratification is a pitfall. The devil knows this and plays on that weakness. The desires of our hearts can be evil. Take Eve, for instance, she and Adam had everything they needed in the garden but she wanted more and the devil played on that weakness. She bit into the sinful fruit and then shared it with Adam. Not only did Eve sin but lured poor Adam down with her. Often times our sin feels better with someone else dragged into it. ” Misery loves company.” The Bible says in Matthew 18:6 But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a heavy Millstone hung around his neck, and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. If we are making others stumble in our walk then it is against God and we are not truly walking with him. A lot of times we don’t even know that we are doing this, so it is extremely important to think before we speak and act. We need to take everything to God because we don’t know who may be listening or watching our behavior. We need to be prayerfully walking with God so that we don’t stumble or cause others to.

Humble

Being humble can be a hard thing to do at times especially if you are a strong-willed person. I personally have a ton of hangups that need to be worked on sometimes every minute of every day. The good Lord knows that and is really good at being patient with me. There have been times where God has asked me to do something for someone that I’m upset with and it takes all of my strength to be humble in doing what is asked. Some look at being humble as a weakness instead of a strength. Reading through the Bible at how humble Jesus is is an inspiration. It would have been so easy and justified in human eyes to blow up in anger at the people who were pitted against Him, but instead, He smothered them with love and compassion. Matthew 5:38-42 states, “you have heard that it was said,” eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth. But I tell you, do not resist an evil person. If anyone slaps you on the right cheek, turn to them the other cheek also. And if anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, hand over your coat as well. If anyone forces you to go one mile go with them two miles. give to the one who asks you and does not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you. A lot of us reading this right now are probably thinking to themselves,” I’m not going to do that.” Why would I do something for someone who hates me! The person that is being rude or mean to you, can at times be unhappy with their own lives. They have a hole in their hearts that can only be filled by our heavenly Father. You can be the one today that can help to fill that hole by being humble like Jesus. So when that person at work is being unruly, do something to show the love of Jesus instead of taking Satan’s path. If you want to try something different today please join me in prayer. Heavenly Father, help us to take the road less traveled today. Guide us in having a Jesus attitude instead of the one we so easily take. Guide us to that someone who is missing you in their lives and is stuck in their own suffering. In Jesus mighty name Amen!
