Let God rule your mind!

Have you walked into a room and felt people ignored you? Have you been a wallflower, felt invisible to people? Or a bench warmer on the team and felt like they forgot you were there? That’s how we feel when people get so absorbed with themselves that they don’t see others. God isn’t pleased with being ignored either. God’s presence surrounds us day and night. Whisper a prayer in the morning, whisper a prayer at noon, whisper a prayer in the evening to keep your heart in tune. Let the Holy Spirit rule your mind. It’s not all about you; it’s everything about God. 😘

Keep Step in the Love of God

For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Matthew 18:20. Call a prayer partner to pray with you and claim the promise that God is with you and will provide your needs before you even ask.

”l will provide for their needs before they ask, and I will help them while they are still asking for help.” Isaiah 65:24 πŸ™

The great provider

God never ceases to amaze me with providing for my needs. Yesterday was one of those days for the record books. I was unable to sleep the night before because of a tooth infection. My daughter woke up with a horrible kink in her neck that kept her home from school, which kept my wife off of work as well. We had purchased a bunch of baby chicks and found that they had gotten out of their pin and into our duck enclosure and drowned in the pond, with others loose in the yard. I didn’t feel like going into work, but the job I’m on was so close to being finished I felt like I could knock it out. The job was going well up until my paint sprayer decided to stop working. After many failed attempts to fix it, I figured I’d call a friend of mine to borrow his. He wasn’t sure if his would work but I took it anyways to give it a shot. Sadly it didn’t work either and I was feeling a bit discouraged. Having to tell a homeowner that you are unable to finish a job is very humbling and I’m not a fan of doing so, but needs to be done. I told her that I was going to need to buy another sprayer and how much they were, but neglected to mention that I couldn’t afford it. On the way home my tooth infection was at its best and with the lack of sleep kicking in I felt terrible. I prayed to God asking for His help and guidance. When I got home I discussed our financial situation with my wife and figured that a new sprayer would deplete our bank account. All of the sudden I was so tired and sick that I couldn’t stand. I fell fast asleep and when I woke up I had multiple texts from the homeowner whom is also my friend. She told me that God had impressed her to give me some money towards the new sprayer, and if I could come and get it. God is good! After retrieving the money my wife and I went to the hardware store and picked out the sprayer that I not only needed but wanted. It was $50.00 more than I thought but had it covered. As we were checking out I fed the money into the machine that my friend had gifted to me, then the cash my wife had on her. We had one dollar leftover. God not only met our needs but exceeded them as usual. Having faith and trust in God isn’t always easy, especially on days when you feeling like the odds are stacked against you.In my journey with God, I find myself wondering in days like these, “What awesome blessing will God bestow on my family today”. Thank you Heavenly Father for always watching out for my family and I. Always covering all of our needs and being there to hear our cry’s for help. You are the great comforter and provider. In Jesus name we pray amen! If you feel like your day is going in the toilet, ask God to show you the good in it. You’d be amazed at what He will show you.

Divine appointment

My wife had sent me a text asking me to stop by the library and pick up some documents that she had left by accident. After retrieving the papers I headed out the door. A woman had passed me but then doubled back, for some reason I asked,” Where are you headed? ” She responded by saying, ” God wanted me to turn around.” We started a conversation about the homeless and it turned into a nice long one. She had just found a home church not long ago and was looking to work with the homeless. ”I’m on the rescue mission board of directors who work hand in hand with the homeless, ” I said.

She went on to tell me about her son and that the doctors can’t figure out what is wrong with him. He is too proud to get assistance from the government because he had a really nice job with great pay. He feels as though that is for people less fortunate and not for him. Instead, his mother and father are paying his hospital bills, food and lodging. I grabbed her hand and said a prayer which seemed to relieve her very much. She was having a hard time that day and felt lost. Sometimes we pray by ourselves and it feels as though our prayers aren’t going to be answered. We need to reach out to others to help us with prayer and encouragement. Don’t be afraid to have others join in, it can change the direction of our thoughts and feel relieved. There have been times where someone else prayed for something I was dealing with, and the prayer they prayed touched me on a couple of different things. Things I hadn’t thought of praying for. Dear heavenly Father, thank you for the people you’ve placed in our path to strengthen our prayer life. In Jesus name amen.

By their fruits you will know them!

Don’t be taken in with someone’s looks, charisma, or polished way of speaking when it comes to God and your salvation. If it’s all about ”i”, and not about Jesus they will not product good fruit, run from them as fast as you can. God has made it very clear that his children will produce good fruit. They will glorify God not themselves.
