A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

You are sought after
No matter how far down you think you are, God sees you as a shiny star. Your life has unraveled or so you think, your cussing and crying making a big stink. Blaming others for the choices we make, waiting and waiting saying” GOD GIVE ME A BREAK”!!! All he’s asking of you is to open your heart, gently whispering in your ear,”I will give you a new start. Fold your hands, close your eyes and believe with all your might, God will bless you and give you a brand new sight.
God can be trusted!
Putting your trust in something or someone can be extremely difficult at times, especially if you have been hurt or betrayed. I know that I’ve been hurt a time or ten, but I’ve also betrayed someone else’s trust many times. God has been working on me over the last couple of years with this topic. I am adopted and found it hard growing up to trust anyone for fear that they would abandon me like my parents did. This led to many failed relationships and work problems. When I started walking with God however things have taken a bit of a turn. We are going to be hurt by others through our lifetime and we may hurt others unknowingly, but it’s how we deal with that hurt that counts. If we stop trusting in others then we give the devil a foothold, but if we forgive or ask for forgiveness we can start rebuilding that trust. It can be hard at times to trust in God even. Thinking that our problems can be fixed by us, or that we are unwilling to relinquish that control and trust that God can get us through this. I have this problem, but day after day, minute after minute, God proves to me that He can be trusted. He builds our faith in Him through guidance in all of life’s trials. Through His love, protection, understanding, listening and His words.
Trust

Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.

Thankful
A friend of mine just inspired me last night. She was talking about how we as a family call her in the morning to include her in our prayers. I used to just pray by myself then I realized that my family wasn’t praying as much as I did and it saddened my heart. It seems like my prayers improve on a daily basis. One of the things I had to add to my prayers was things to be thankful for. God gives us so much to be thankful and grateful for every day, every minute ,every second. More often than not we can’t remember even one thing to be thankful for. After we have gathered hens and prayed about our day, we pick one thing that we are thankful for and say it out loud. This will help to get you to remember all the good things God has placed in your life. It starts with one but will end up with many. My wife and I have been stuck on the one thing, but my daughter who is 5 years old has a huge list that she’s thankful for and loves to share it with God and us. It may not seem like much to us but if you are having an incredibly bad day, week, or even a month finding one thing to be thankful for can be difficult when your focus is all on the negative. I challenge you to find the one thing you’re thankful for today. and see how that list can keep growing and turn your negative days into positive. I am thankful this morning for all of the people who are reading these posts.
Take the road less traveled

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

God is my strength

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Caring
Come on everyone, let’s change up our day, crumple up thoughts of self and throw it away. Lend a hand to an elderly person as they cross the street, or be the first to shake hands with the new guy at work that you meet. Give a dollar to a charity maybe out in front of a store, bring some laughter to something that is normally a bore. Lend an ear to a friend, or write a positive message to send. Take time to see the small things in your day, like taking your kids outside to play. Hold someone who is suffering it can go a long way, sometimes the words ” I love you” is all you have to say!
Newness
Don’t you wish you can start a new, don’t you wish you can have a new view. God gives us a chance to start fresh, giving us the opportunity to get through life’s mess. Giving your heart to God makes us a new creation, feeling the Holy Spirit’s vibration. All you have to do is get on your knees, clasp your hands together saying” God please, remove all the thoughts of negative things and help me through all all the problems life brings. I give you myself my heart and all, give me the strength to overcome and stand tall. Help me to reflect you not me, let it be you and only you that others see’.
