Good evening Father,
There are so many people and situations in need of prayer. Father, I don’t want to leave any of them out. Holy Spirit please lay each one on my heart and mind. Keep me from any distractions, my mind wandering, or being preoccupied. Help me to sit quietly in your presence so I can hear your voice. Help me to remember control and pride is from my sinful nature. All sin was carried to the cross by Jesus. He bore my debt and gave me the freedom to not be a control freak or live with pride. Thank you, for being in control and leading me on your path. In Jesus name amen

Dear Kind Heavenly Father,
Teach me true thankfulness. To be thankful for everything that is not only good, beautiful, and benefits me, but for the troubles, sorrow, and struggles that we have in life. Help me to remember that you own everything, all our worldly possessions. Lord, You’re the creator of all things including me. You love me and bless me with each breath that I take.

Why do I forget to thank you?
Why do I take so much for granted? Yes, Father, it is my sinful nature. Please forgive me! Open my eyes to see you throughout my day, fill my heart with love and gratefulness.

Dear Heavenly Father,
The sun has gone down and another day is completed.
Father, did I accomplish your plan that you had set for me today? Or did I get caught up with my wants and desires? When I replay my day Lord, my focus was not always on your loving presence. I know you will equip me throughout the day, so I can handle whatever comes my way. Please forgive me Father for not surrendering my full day to your plan and will. Thank you, Lord, for your words that fill my heart with joy.

Father, help me to surrender everything to you big or small. To walk with you every day in your loving presence knowing that your way is much better than I could ever imagine. May my life glorify you, Father. May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus name, amen

We’ve all had that day where nothing is going the way we feel it should. The coffee pot stopped working, the car ran out of gas, husband or wife isn’t pleased no matter what you do. Your boss has a bad day and is taking it out on you, or what you grabbed out of your pocket to pay for lunch was a sock instead of your wallet that was placed there during the laundry process. Then you’re sitting down thinking about your day and how bad it was and it’s like God speaks right to you. Turning on the TV you see a kid suffering from a terminal disease and could die at any minute, but has a smile on his or her face beaming with life! I always feel very unthankful after that. Here I am having a pity party about how bad I thought my day was. It can be extremely difficult at times to be thankful during days like these. I can get another coffee pot and afford gas because I have a job! I’m so thankful that God blessed my wife and me with a beautiful daughter that that sock belongs to. We have the opportunity to pray for our family when they aren’t having a great day. No matter what your day holds always remember that you have multiple blessings in it and all we have to do is look! Don’t let the bad keep you down there is so much better in this world than we think. Praise God! Psalms 100 verse 4- 5 enter into His gates with Thanksgiving, and his courts with praise. Be thankful to him and bless his name. For the Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.
