Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York took the time to share this incredible example of loving thy neighbor. So who is your neighbor? The man from Kansas knew that it is everyone, even as far as New York.
““Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” And Jesus replied to him, “ ‘Y OU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is like it, ‘Y OU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for others].’ The whole Law and the [writings of the] Prophets depend on these two commandments.””
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]”
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

“Then I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, “Whom can I send? Who will go for us?” So I said, “Here I am. Send me!”” Isaiah 6:8 NCV https://www.bible.com/105/isa.6.8.ncvHere I am, send me!
God has blessed my life tremendously. I thought about how I have had some very challenging things in my lifetime. Yet, I feel so grateful that God has never let me down. God has placed a genuine smile on my face because he planted a smile in my heart. My daughter and I were out walking and we came upon a field of California poppies. We had never seen so many in one place. Take my picture surrounded by all the flowers I begged. Reluctantly she complied. When my daughter forwarded the picture to me I saw a tremendous opportunity of spreading the gospel. It was as though each flower represents a lost soul. That’s when Isaiah 6:8 came to my mind. Then I heard the Lord voice saying, “Whom can I send? Who will go for us?” So I said, “Here I am. Send me.” Listen to the quiet call of God, it may be at your work, in your neighborhood or at your child’s school that God wants you to witness for him. My husband was diagnosed with cancer seven years ago. As he was getting his treatments God called him to offer prayer and witness to other patients. What a blessing he has been for many folks that he has met. God bless you as you journey with Him. 🙏
“But in all these things we are completely victorious through God who showed his love for us. Yes, I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor ruling spirits, nothing now, nothing in the future, no powers, nothing above us, nothing below us, nor anything else in the whole world will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
“The Lord is compassionate and merciful, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He will not constantly accuse us, nor remain angry forever. He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.”
“Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.”
“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. God is my strong fortress, and he makes my way perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:31, 33 NLT
I don’t know about you, but I have never claimed to be perfect. Even though I desire and strive for perfection. As I meditate on 2 Samuel 22:31 it starts off with, God’s way is perfect. In Psalms 18:30 it also says, As for God, His way is perfect. In the beginning, God created the heaven and theearth. This beautiful world we live in. God said it is good, we know it to be perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. Yes, the promises of God are sure, they have been tested, and tried as by fire, and they will never fail. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. It also states in Psalms 18:30 He is a shield to all who trust in Him. God is our shield and protection from evil.
What I determined is three-fold: 1. God does not do things halfway. His way is perfect and everything he does is perfect. 2. We can trust God. His word and promises have been tested and prove true. 3. God is a shield of protection for all that believe and trust in him.
”But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.” Matthew 5:48 NLT
Jesus said, that we are to be perfect, as our Heavenly Father is perfect. Humanly this is impossible but through God, all things are possible. 2 Samuel 22:33 reads, God is my strong fortress, and He makes my way perfect. God promises when you give your life to Jesus, He will equip you with every good thing to carry out his will, making you complete and perfect through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. I’m human and still make mistakes but God has clothed me with His righteousness. He surrounds me with His Love, Mercy, and Grace. If it’s your desire to be made perfect through Jesus Christ, I encourage you to invite him to come into your heart! May God continue to bless you. ❤️
BENEDICTION: ”Now may the God of peace [the source of serenity and spiritual well-being] who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood that sealed and ratified the eternal covenant, equip you with every good thing to carry out His will and strengthen you [making you complete and perfect as you ought to be], accomplishing in us that which is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.” Hebrews 13:20-21 AMP https://www.bible.com/1588/heb.13.20-21.amp
