Wheeew!!! Close call
In a couple of days I’m having a pretty common procedure done. It’s called an angiogram and is something fairly routine and I’m not all that worried. The problem is that I’m constantly getting tired at different times during my work day. I was taking a guy home that was working with me but he had borrowed a drill from my landlord to fix his car. His battery was in the trunk of his car and it was dead. His theory was that he would take out his backseat and drill through the steel frame to get to the battery with a hole saw attached to the drill. His key to the car was a chip not a key, so for the car to unlock, it had to have a full battery. He wanted me to stick around so he could give the drill back to me when he was done. This way I would take the drill back to my landlord and he wouldn’t have to keep it overnight. I was so drained of energy that I was having trouble keeping my eyes open. The Holy Spirit however nudged me to stay, so I did. As he started drilling through the framework, I was told to stand near him, so I peaked my head in the car only to smell gasoline. I thought at first that he might have some rags in the car that had gas or oil on them. I told him that I smelled gas but he brushed me off after he stopped drilling to smell for himself. He went back to it and this time the smell had really hit me. “TURN IT OFF NOW BILLY”,I yelled!!!! Suddenly he smelled it and stopped. He was unknowingly drilling through his gas tank and not the back seat! Praise God that He sent His Holy Spirit to impress me to stay or my buddy would have been toast. I love all the stories like these that are in my life today. God knows all the silly and dangerous things that we are about to do because He holds our future in His hands.

Be patient
We live in a fast paced world. All the advertisements that we see day to day tell us that we can do things faster and cheaper. We can expect to have anything that we want just as fast as we can think it. With all this speed we tend to pack more things on ourselves because we can accomplish more. This can lead to a very big problem and I know that it has in my case. I cannot seem to get things fast enough. A day to me seems like a week in my mind, which isn’t good when your trying to be patient. God is great and all powerful but in my experience He tends to do the greatest miracles over a long period of time. Imagine if He answered our prayers when and how we wanted them. Do you think that the miracle would be as great? Let’s take a look at a scenario real quick that has happened to me and tell me if you see a difference. I have wanted to have a successful honey bee business for around 4 years now but have hit many a road blocks. I’m a person that if I want something bad enough then that’s where all my focus goes. Head first all the way even if there’s a boulder in the way. If God had answered my prayer the way that I wanted, I would have purchased more bee hives than I could handle. I would have lost them all to disease or neglect for the lack of knowledge wasn’t there. I lost the first batch of bees because I had taken a horrible spill, tearing my calf muscle, hamstring, and tore two tendons in my shoulder. OUCH! This was incredibly painful and was unable to tend to my bees. I submitted my plans to God this time and things have turned out way different. I met a guy online that was selling nuc boxes, which are small hives for a very reasonable price so I purchased a few. After meeting this man we had a great conversation about God and church. I told him of my long term plan for purchasing bees and he wanted to help. He fronted me 800.00 worth of bees and told me, “pay me when you can”. I payed him back about a month later and we have been friends ever since. A long while after a couple of really nice honey extractions for extra money I received a huge blessing. I hadn’t worked for a little over 2 months because my heart wasn’t working well and was making me extremely tired and short of breath. My boss, mentor, and really good friend had showered me with a huge gift. God had impressed him to purchase all the equipment needed for a successful small business! I’m not sure of the exact amount because the purchasing isn’t finished yet but it involves a flatbed bee truck, forklift and trailer. I was totally pumped just to receive all of the boxes, lids and frames, over 250 of them! He didn’t tell me they were for me at first, I just kept asking if I could buy some of them from him. I got into my vehicle and cried so long and hard knowing that God would bless a wretch like me. So undeserving of God’s grace and love and yet He still blesses me. This story is still ongoing and yet to finish. People are coming out of the woodworks being sent by God to bless this bee business and my families life. This story is all about waiting and patience through prayer. Submit your plans to God and He will formulate the best avenue for you. Don’t force or rush, take the time and wait, in God’s time He will fill up your plate. He cares deeply for you and all yours plans, submit them to Him placing them in His mighty hands. Proverbs 16:3 Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed. Romans 12:12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.
Love comes from God!
When I saw the above picture I thought, those were the good old days . As a child everyone was our friend. We wanted to play and spend time with them every minute of the day. We didn’t think about how they were dressed, if their family was wealthy, or if they were Red, yellow, black or white. We accepted them the way they were. So what happened? Yes, we grew up and we see the world from a different lens. The world has blurred our sight for other. Jesus offers us sight again, 20/20 vision in seeing others through His eyes of love. God is LOVE! He is the same yesterday, today and forever. As we draw nearer to Him the greater our love grows. 🙏

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 1 John 4:7 NIV https://1john.bible/1-john-4-7
God Is Our Protector!
“My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.
He will not let you be defeated. He who guards you never sleeps.
He who guards Israel never rests or sleeps. The LORD guards you.
The LORD is the shade that protects you from the sun. The sun cannot hurt you during the day, and the moon cannot hurt you at night.
The LORD will protect you from all dangers; he will guard your life.
The LORD will guard you as you come and go, both now and forever.”
Psalms 121:2-8 NCV🙏
When I was a child I was afraid of the dark and wanted my parents to stay awake in case I needed them. My mom assured me that God never sleeps and he always watches over me. It still comforts me today!
