I can’t even start to describe the commitment it would take to be married for 60 years. I attended an anniversary party for some friends of mine and it was heart warming to say the least. The drive and dedication to stay with someone that long deserves applause. These days 8 years is the typical length of commitment in a marriage. That’s to say if they get married at all. Seems like the majority of youth now a days have children and live together without their vows. My wife and I have been together for 7 years and there have been some horribly rough spots and I don’t know where we would be without God and prayer. He is the strength and guidance in our marriage. 60 years is totally obtainable through Him who gives us strength. That doesn’t mean that your marriage won’t be tested and thrown into rocks. This just means that through it all you can prevail knowing that there is strength through Him. Psalms 16:8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand. I will not be shaken.
Is YOUR Marriage a cord of three strands?

When I saw my friends Roger and Shirley today, I couldn’t wait to wish them Happy Anniversary. I thought to myself, Sixty years, wow, that is a long time. I asked Shirley , “What do you contribute to a successful marriage? ” Before she could answer, Roger’s sister said, “a lot of patience.” All three of us started laughing, we knew that was true. Then Shirley said, ” A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” Yes, I said, if God is first in your marriage, it develops a stronger bond.” God loves you each individually and as a married couple. If you haven’t already surrendered your marriage to God, it’s never to late. You may find yourself like Roger and Shirley sixty years later, still together and stronger in love as ever.

Light up the world through Prayer!

As I was driving home one night in a road construction area I took this picture. It spoke volumes to me on Christian prayer life. Surrounded by darkness of the world, when we pray it’s like the straight and narrow path is illuminated for others to see. As we cry out, Answer me, Lord, answer me, so these people will know that you, Lord are God, and that you are turning their hearts back again. Glory be to God he is turning our loved ones hearts back to him. Keep on praying never give up for Isaiah 65:24 Says, Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.
Light up the world through prayer, to Glorify God.
9-1-1 Call to Jesus!

Satan has deceived the world and many are on the ladder of self righteousness. The I CAN DO IT MYSELF ladder. Prideful people thinking, I am smart, successful, and God needs me, I can make a donation and buy my way to heaven, or I can earn my way by being a good moral person. I, I, I… that single word is our biggest enemy. We must die to self daily and let Jesus sit on the throne of our heart. He is the way, the truth and life. Only through Him can you find salvation. So if you are on the ladder reaching in the sky, humbly ask Jesus to rescue you and give your life to Him. Then you will be able to rejoice.
I will rejoice greatly in the Lord. My soul will exult in my God; For He has clothed me with garments of salvation. He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness. As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland. And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Isaiah 61:10.
Simple as 1-2-3

My friend posted this on Facebook today and I thought what a great reminder how God loves us and wants to transform our lives. God bless you and please share with others. Simple as 1-2-3!
Strength in friends
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If they fall down, they can help each other up. But pity those who fall and have no one to help them up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. These verses to me ring true. Before coming to God there weren’t to many friends in my life, and the ones I did have would not have prayed for me. God has placed a bunch of really close friends in my life and acquaintances that are soon to be great friends and believers. I don’t tell people about this but maybe I should start. When I am joined in a circle to pray with others and we hold hands I feel a power unlike any other. It feels as though God is holding hands with us and His Holy Spirit is guiding our words. Having these friends to get you through these tough times is definitely a God send. There’s been times where I couldn’t pick my face up off the ground but because of prayer and words of encouragement my life and circumstance is back on track. If you don’t have a couple of really close friends then we need to pray. Heavenly Father, please forgive us for our sins and trespasses. Thank you for a new start today. A chance to be better Christians today. Help us to find a great friend today, someone to help inspire and encourage us. Someone to help us in prayer. In Jesus name, Amen.
God is waiting for you to Cast!
It is not Gods will for his children to be burdened down with worries, and anxieties. He will carry them for us and handle them the way that is best. Peter writes that we should cast them all on God. I picture wading up all my life’s worries into a giant ball and throwing it all to God in prayer. He gladly catches it so I can be free to run the race that he has set out for me. Now that is what I call a true WIN. Amen!
