JESUS, the Word became human to save the world. It is through His unfailing love and faithfulness that He gives us Grace. It is a FREE GIFT from our Savior, please accept him today.

Yesterday had quiet a few miracles in it that I would like to share with you this morning. It all started when I woke up with a cold. After morning prayer and asking for the strength to get me through the day, God answered it. I went to work and God worked through my hands and gave me energy. The first part came out perfectly so I went to lunch. As I waited for my lunch a young man came in with his elderly parents. They took a seat with the son helping his father to sit down and proceeded to feed him. It touched my heart to see the love that he was showing to his father. After finishing my meal I went over to their table and told the young man thank you for that act of kindness that he was showing. We all can take a note from this in showing others the love of God. The patience, love and respect for another human being. That is what God is asking all of us every minute of every day. Dear heavenly father thank you for yet another beautiful day. Thank you for showing us your love everyday. Please help to guide us and lead us towards loving others the way that you love us in Jesus precious name amen.
One of the greatest joy in life is meeting new people. Sometimes you meet someone that becomes a life long friend, or you’re introduced to a person that can provide a service for you, while others may be acquaintances, it doesn’t matter what kind of relationship you have, every relationship is unique and special.
On a hot August day, I arrived at Vikkie’s home for Bible study. Vickie and I had been studying together for the past seven months and had become friends. As I walked up, Vikkie said: ”Karen, this is my neighbor Ann-Marie, she is interested in doing Bible studies with you.” ”Praise God,” I replied. Ann-Marie immediately started sharing her believes and threw in a few questions, before I could answer her, she began telling me what she thought the answers were to the questions she asked. I could hear the desperation in her voice and see the hunger in her eyes to know Jesus Christ. We set a time for the next week to start our studies. When that day arrived, Ann-Marie was not so energetic she was pale and in lots of pain.
Ann-Marie had multiple health issues and was going to U.C.S.F. for surgery in a few weeks. She wanted to learn as much as she could about Jesus. The studies were designed for one lesson a week for twenty-six weeks. When I arrived at her home each week, it never seemed to amaze me how much she had accomplished. Even though she was nauseous, fatigued, and in severe pain, Ann-Marie completed three to five studies weekly. She had her surgery in October and was still in the hospital in December for Christmas. In late January, she was discharged to go home. She didn’t have a home, so motel 6 became her home until she died a few months later. I shared this story with you because God places people in our lives for a reason. Sometimes they are short time frames that we don’t understand. I thank God for blessing my life with Ann-Marie. It was just a speck of time to share on earth, but we have eternity to look forward to, my sister in Christ, Ann-Marie.
Today marks a brand new day. We challenge you to be a better Christian than you were yesterday. Every morning is a new day to better ourselves, but do we? The challenge today is to go above and beyond for someone else. Putting ourselves aside, what could we be doing for others? How can we make someone else’s day easier? Pick up groceries for someone who cant, or push a broken down car off the road. Make something sweet like cookies or a meal for a friend. Pick up a prescription or babysit so that person can have time to themselves. Help fix their car, or be a listening ear to someone in distress. Christ went above and beyond so that others could be happy and He shared God’s word while He did these things. Are you up for this challenge? Please leave a comment at the end of today, sharing with us all that you have done to encourage everyone who reads this. That in itself is helping others. Heavenly father, thank you for a brand new day. Please help us to be able to help others. Open up new ideas and opportunities. In Jesus name, amen.
