I don’t know how God does it but he takes people that are in despair and changes their whole life. I was as rotten of a person as you could possibly get. I was addicted to alcohol ,drugs ,tobacco, and sex amongst other things and never thought that I would have any good thing in my life. God showed me that I can be a caring, loving, genuine follower of him. If we all can just open our hearts and accept him the depression, anxiety thoughts of suicide and self-worth will all disappear. You need to know that God has a purpose for all of us and that the trials, heartache and hardships that we go through everyday build us into something great. If you are feeling this way today, if you are feeling alone, like you have a hole in your chest and there’s nothing in your life currently that can fill it, please lean on Jesus, allow him to come into your heart today to make you a new. There is no one in this world that loves you more then our heavenly father and there’s nothing he won’t do for you so long as it’s in accordance with his will. Join me in prayer. Dear heavenly father thank you so much for coming into our hearts today we humbly accept you as our Lord and savior. Please guide me and Lead me, show me the way to being the best disciple I can be. Renew our life today bring us out of depression, do away with anxiety and just hold us Lord show us your love today so that we can go out and show others. Please guide us and show us what our purpose is today. In Jesus precious name AMEN.
The push
I have a horrible tendency to push too hard to make things happen quickly. Instead of waiting on God to answer my prayers I get anxious feeling as though it’s not going to happen. When I have had the patience to wait for God, the outcome was outstanding and exceeded my every expectation. Pushing too hard to make things happen can also blow up in our faces and cause us to be unproductive. Patience and trust in our Heavenly Father is the key to answered prayers.

Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil.

Serving God
Serving God is NOT an easy thing to do all the time. You may be asked to do things that are uncomfortable or uncommon to others. When you read the bible you will find many characters that were uncomfortable doing what God had asked and would no longer follow Him. One particular man stood out to me in my readings and it’s found in Matthew 19:21 Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come and follow me. Now this particular man couldn’t do what Jesus had asked because he was a very wealthy man and didn’t want to give all that he had earned away. It actually reminds me time and time again how much more God has blessed me when I have given all that I have. Many times people have needed work and I was impressed to give it to them even though our finances were not the best. God ALWAYS gave more work than I could possibly need for whomever was with me. Take a chance today, stretch your faith even a little bit out of your comfort zone and see how much more God will provide. ” God we come to you this morning on bended knee to thank you for all that you have given us. Today we want to increase our faith in you by stepping out of our comfort zone to help someone in need. Please give us the strength to help change someone’s life today, in Jesus name AMEN! “

But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord .”

Perfect day
Have you ever had a day where you were walking on air? Today was that day for me, nothing could bring me down and I’m blessed for that. Did a little work with a good friend and then drove around, stopping at multiple places to chat with different people. Even going to the doctor and finding out that my rotator cuff is torn didn’t bring me down. Went to get the ex-ray done and was joking with everyone I came in contact with. God blesses me every day and today was no exception. Praise God
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Make new
My wife and I are huge yard sale fans, finding bargains and all kinds of treasures forgotten. The other day we found an old buffet, it was in great shape without any missing pieces but was lacking a glossy finish. We ended up settling on a reasonable price and took our new find home. Wiping off a layer of dust we realized that we loved the light color and opted not to stain it, just seal it. As we slowly wiped the clear finish on we noticed a lot of really cool wood grain patterns showing up. After it was all said and done it looked absolutely stunning, like it had just come out of the store. We took something that was old and dingy, caring for it and showing it love, and now it will stand out for years to come. The same thing happens when we start walking with God, He takes our old sinful ways and makes us new. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the old has gone, the new is here!
