What is the Good News?

The good news is that Jesus has come into the world to save us and allow us to enter into the Kingdom of God through a real relationship with Jesus! Sin separates us from God, and because the debt of our sin is so great we cannot get back to God through our own sacrifices and merit.

Therefore, God sent His only Son, Jesus, to come down from Heaven and pay our debt for us on the cross.

Christ lives in me!

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In this verse Paul says that he has been crucified with Christ, meaning that his old self (all his old beliefs and old ways) have died. He no longer finds life in the things of the world, but instead he says ‘Christ lives in me’. Paul tells us that now Jesus has become his ultimate authority and ruler of his life. He says he lives his life by faith in Jesus, believing that Jesus knows whats best for his life because He loved him and gave Himself for him.

This is also true for you! As you put your trust in Jesus acknowledging that He died for you and gave himself up for you, you allow Christ to live inside of you. Lastly, the verse says that Christ’s death is because of God’s abounding grace — that if God was not gracious and did not extend grace to us then Christ would have died for nothing. Youverson

Saved by Grace NOT by Works! ✝️

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul is specifying how Christians are saved and have eternal life. Is it by good works? Or because we’ve earned it? NO! He explains that we are saved by grace which is God’s free, unearned favor and forgiveness of sins. We have this grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
