The great comforter

We all like to feel comforted when we are sad or going through something extremely painful. The times when we are going up to speak in front of a large crowd or doing something outside of our comfort zone. Life can throw many trials at us but we can always find comfort in knowing that God is always with us. He guides us through the darkness, carries us when we stumble, and holds us when we are weak. I remember going through so many dark and confusing times and in those times I called on our Lord to just hold me. It was like the warmest blanket being wrapped around me, having all my troubles just melt away. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, Praise be to God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
