Wow!!!

The last couple of nights working with the honey bees have been exhausting, to say the least. I absolutely love working with them but the hours we keep seem to go on forever. Sunday we left at 6:00 a.m. and returned home at 2:30 the next morning. The next day we left for work at 9:00 a.m. , I thought to myself today is going to be a better day than yesterday however, it turned out to be a 21 hour workday. It seemed like nothing was going right. One of our pickups broke down, meaning we had to replace a fuel pump on the side of the road. We also had to purchase two semi truck batteries and replace them on the side of the freeway. When we arrived at the job site, the alternator went out on one of our semi-trucks and had to be replaced. What else could go wrong? It seemed that all of our equipment needed repaired. When we finally got everything running the forklift broke down, having to replace an ignition switch.

We were removing honey off the hives, they weigh between 25-50 lbs per box and we carried about 250 of them between the two nights. It was extremely exhausting! The part that really got me was the driving. The bees are in Fresno and was over a two and a half hour drive one way and all the hives we’re at 3 different locations. I kept talking to God asking him to give me strength not to fall asleep while I was driving or even as the passenger to help keep the driver awake. We were able to get through both nights and days without any harm or accidents and Im praising God for this. He is an incredible God and always watches over us blanketing us with His protection. He also helped to keep us from losing our tempers, and getting frustrated. God kept us all calm during the storm of problems. Psalms 16:8 I have set the lord always before me I shall not be move.
