Divine appointment

I really enjoy when God throws me a Divine appointment, because I never see them coming. Yesterday I felt like I needed to get to the gym before the evening set in only I didn’t feel like working out. Once I got there I stepped on to the stair master and did a total of 3 minutes before my legs were on fire. Its not a machine that I ever use and wanted to give it a shot. Getting off the machine for a second till my legs loosened back up I noticed a man watching me. We sparked up a conversation and come to find out he had just had surgery on his back not too long ago and he was trying to get back into shape. They had fused his back together and while he was in the hospital he had lost about 80 lbs due to his surgery and lack of junk food. I said praise God that you were able to do that and feel healthier being lighter on your feet. after I had said that we sparked up a conversation about God and about the Oakdale rescue mission that I belong to. He seemed to be very interested in wanting to know more about it. the gym is only a couple blocks away from the rescue mission itself, so I asked if he wanted to take a tour of our facility. He accepted and we went over and we walked through some of the house since he couldn’t climb the stairs to the second floor. We ended up in the backyard taking a seat under the shade of a huge oak tree. He told me that during his time in the hospital his wife had actually passed away due to the coronavirus. he hadn’t had much to do since her passing and mainly stayed indoors at home or at the gym. she said that he was looking for something to do with his time and he wanted to be able to help the homeless. God had plans for my words that day he was talking through me so much. Testimonial after testimonial kept flowing through my lips. I had arrived at the gym at 6 pm and went over to the rescue mission about 6:10 not leaving until after 8 pm! That whole time the Holy Spirit guided my words and experiences with God. His name is Frank and he was floored at the stories that I had. He said that he never would have guessed that I went through all of those things since I seemed to be such a put together fellow. We prayed for his placement at the rescue mission and we were both pleased greatly that God had introduced us. God is great!
