Jeremiah 29 11 is an excellent verse and I will write it down in a minute for you all to read. We all like to make plans don’t we? What we will be doing this weekend, or who we choose to date. What plans we have for a certain occupation or who we will become friends with. Who we choose to bless, or what church to go to. What we will eat for dinner, to which seeds to plant in our new garden. Our whole life is one huge ball of hundreds of thousands of tiny little plans. How many of our plans actually pan out though? Have there been times when our plans have derailed and went a totally different direction? I can tell you from personal experience that the one who has the best laid plans are from our heavenly Father. Growing up my BIG plans were to become a professional athlete and it didn’t matter which kind really because I did really well at most of them. Rugby to wrestling, and powerlifter to boxing. I set outstanding records that most only dream of and kept going. God however had other plans! For the better part of twenty years I have been remodeling residential homes and have been extremely blessed. It’s not just the enjoyment of seeing a finished product come out perfectly but the opportunity that I receive to chat with the customers. Telling them what has been going on in my life with different people and our church. The best part however is when they open up to you and share personal things about problems they may be facing or God experiences that they have had increasing both our faiths in him. It has been an amazing journey to say the least. My body has been slowly having problems after problems and I seem to be having a lot of trouble bouncing back for some reason. My friend Karen tells me that it’s because I am getting older but I refuse to believe that 41 is old. Isn’t it the new 25? I’m not worried about what I will have as far as work is concerned though because I know that God has something special planned for me. If you are going through something similar, I only ask that you take it to God. He will direct you where to go and what to do. Jeremiah 29:11 for I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
But God had other plans
