Preaching the Good news

Walking out of the store, our eyes meet, it’s freezing outside but only sandals on her feet. Her hair is unkept and spotted with dirt, it’s been a week or so since she had washed that tee shirt. Holes in her jeans and smelling like smoke, people starring and judging thinking,” Oh, what a joke.” When the Holy Spirit is with you all that you see, is a woman who is hurting and needs a reprieve. Taking the stress off her back by praying with her, the Holy Spirit inside us starts to stir. All of the sudden she feels the love, of the Alpha thee Omega, our great God up above! Her Spirit has been lifted and feels a newness of self, placing her guilt and shame high upon a shelf. The look on her face when she’s told that Jesus died for her sin, she looks up in the sky ready for her new life to begin! Like 4:16 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.
