When I am afraid

Growing up the phrase,” I am not afraid,” was heard frequently by the other boys and myself. You had to be tough in front of your buddies otherwise you were labeled a chicken or sissy. Later on in life God showed me that I was full of fear in every aspect of my life and it was destroying me. God also showed me that fear will never leave my life or yours, that it is a natural feeling. Most of all He showed me on multiple occasions how we can place our problems, worries and fears at His feet and He would see us through as long as we trusted in Him. One of the most important verses in the Bible to remember is Psalms 56:3 When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. That verse is simple, sweet, and easy to remember in every circumstance.
