The Good News: Sometimes, helping others is as simple as living an honest and faithful life. By living thoughtfully and honoring God with your words and actions, you can inspire someone to help themselves by doing the same.
This morning I went for blood work. After I checked in, I realized it’s Monday one of their busiest days. There was nowhere to sit. I thought, I better check the overflow room. When I entered the room there was one lady and plenty of seating. As I sat down, she asked me, “ Are you here to learn about the Medicare plans?” “No“ l replied, “there is no seating for the Lab and this room is their overflow seating.” Before, I finished my sentence she started sharing with me how confused she was with Advantage plans and Medigap plans. I asked her what was she looking for in a plan. She was very specific about what she wanted. I showed her in the medicare book, that she was holding, the pages that were specific to her needs. She was so happy as she expressed her appreciation by saying, “If you had not walked in here I could have made a huge mistake. I thought I only had one option. Thank you, thank you!”
That’s when I shared with her, “I prayed this morning that God would put someone in my path to help today. However, I didn’t realize it would be regarding medical insurance. What a wonderful blessing.
We miss so many opportunities to help people in many different ways. Normally because we are more in tune with ourselves than noticing what is around us. May God open our eyes and ears to others so we can share God’s love.
