1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

During the Christmas season, it can be merry and bright. For some, it is depressing and unmanageable because of deaths in the family, money problems, and many other reasons. It’s important to remember the verses above not just to help you through difficulties but also to continue your faith. God has a plan for each of us, and it doesn’t matter what we are going through; His plan is still in place. If we are always rejoicing, we focus on the good in our lives. Giving thanks keeps us appreciative of God’s gifts. Please join me in prayer this morning. Dear heavenly Father, thank you so much for us just being able to get out of bed this morning and go out and do the things you have set out for us to do. Touch our hearts today and show us all the good things that you’ve placed in our paths every day. Thank you for the opportunity that we have today to lay our burdens at your feet, helping us to be able to go out and help others. Please watch over us and protect us today with all the bad weather that we’ve been having, and watch over all the other drivers as well. Please show us what needs to be done today, Heavenly Father in Jesus’ precious name, amen!
