Lately it feels like I have a huge weight on my shoulders and it makes it extremely difficult to be grateful and content for what I do have. Do you ever feel like this? We have people in our lives that are friends and family that love us but we neglect their feelings or fail to appreciate the shoulder they give us to cry on. We walk into the place where we live and have an attitude about something that happened that day forgetting we have a place to hang out head. We blow past an animal that is excitedly trying to greet us and are dismissive of the fact that we have food in the fridge and our lights are still on. The vehicle we drive is older but gets us from A to B and have a couple of bucks in our pocket. Most of all though and most importantly we forget that a caring and loving God is watching over us waiting so very patiently for us to commune with him. He wants to hear from us in awesome or awful times and anywhere in between. Remember that no matter how bad you think you have it, that someone else out there has it way worse off than you. Appreciate and cherish the time, people and materialistic things that have been gifted to you. Give thanks to God for all he has lead you through and thank him for getting you through this current situation. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks and all his circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Being grateful and content
