Love

Loving people for me has never been the easiest thing to do but when we follow God it makes it a lot easier. We read so many scriptures telling us and showing us how God loves us and by his example we’re able to go and do and love others. John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. The scripture is one of the most widely used scriptures in the Bible and very well should be. This shows the biggest act of love that we could ever hear about or see. It can be a struggle at times to love others especially when people are yelling at you or being deceitful and sometimes for no reason. I don’t know that I would lay my life down for someone who is treating me badly. 1 John 4:11 Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. If we are having trouble finding love in our hearts for people who hurt others and I mean then take a knee and pray asking God how you can love that person or persons. He will show you the way. I know he’s helped me many times in my journey with him. If anyone can change hearts it is our Lord Jesus Christ. Please join me in prayer. Dear heavenly father there is a lot of meanness out there in this world and a lot of hatred but we can rise above these things with your help. Please help us to find love in people who are needing your help. Help us to grow stronger in your love. In Jesus precious name amen.

Being grateful and content

Lately it feels like I have a huge weight on my shoulders and it makes it extremely difficult to be grateful and content for what I do have. Do you ever feel like this? We have people in our lives that are friends and family that love us but we neglect their feelings or fail to appreciate the shoulder they give us to cry on. We walk into the place where we live and have an attitude about something that happened that day forgetting we have a place to hang out head. We blow past an animal that is excitedly trying to greet us and are dismissive of the fact that we have food in the fridge and our lights are still on. The vehicle we drive is older but gets us from A to B and have a couple of bucks in our pocket. Most of all though and most importantly we forget that a caring and loving God is watching over us waiting so very patiently for us to commune with him. He wants to hear from us in awesome or awful times and anywhere in between. Remember that no matter how bad you think you have it, that someone else out there has it way worse off than you. Appreciate and cherish the time, people and materialistic things that have been gifted to you. Give thanks to God for all he has lead you through and thank him for getting you through this current situation. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks and all his circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Be Ready!

A pregnant woman knows that babies do not always come on the exact due date. She has to be ready and know the signs of the coming of her new baby. It is not uncommon to pack your hospital bag 2-3 months before the due date.

We are like a pregnant women, waiting for the coming of our Lord and Savior. We do not know the day or the hour, but we know we must be ready to meet him in the air. The signs are here, and time is short. Ask Jesus to come into your life and be your forever friend.

Prayer to be prepared for the day 🙏

Heavenly Father, thank you so much for another beautiful day. Thank you for giving us the strength to go out and do the things you have set out for us to do. Lord, touch our lips, giving us the words to say to other people, helping to encourage and inspire them. Give us the ears to hear and the heart to share. In Jesus’ precious name, amen.

Proverbs 27:1

Proverbs 27:1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring. Yesterday my wife and I found out that a friend of ours who lived on our property and was homeless had passed away. We knew he was having heart issues, but to our knowledge, he had been going to the doctor regularly to fix these issues. It makes you sit here and think about the direction that you’re heading. I have been dealing with heart issues, and it’s been a struggle. I love to eat all kinds of foods, but I’m kind of lazy about grabbing something when I’m at work. Pizza, hamburgers, hot dogs, and burritos are my go-to. But I had a stent put in a couple of years ago, and I have wanted to change my diet and physical activity. More often than not, we don’t recognize the things we put in our bodies. We grab and go, especially in my case. But our bodies are just on lease. These don’t belong to us. 1 Corinthians 6:19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; I am going to be a lot more prayerful and conscious about what I place into my body, not only for my family’s sake but most of all for God. So if you were packing your lunch this morning, please take a minute and notice if you are packing something healthy, something pleasing to the Holy Spirit. I challenge you today to treat your body more like the temple it’s meant to be. Think before you purchase and place something into your mouth that could potentially be harmful. Please join me in prayer. Heavenly Father, thank you for allowing us these temporary bodies to be a vessel for your Holy Spirit. Please help us to make the right decisions today on things that we purchase and ingest into our bodies. Not just with food, Heavenly Father, but also with negative things we look at or hear throughout the day. Thank you for being with us, in us, and around us; in Jesus name amen!
