Wow!!!

The last couple of nights working with the honey bees have been exhausting, to say the least. I absolutely love working with them but the hours we keep seem to go on forever. Sunday we left at 6:00 a.m. and returned home at 2:30 the next morning. The next day we left for work at 9:00 a.m. , I thought to myself today is going to be a better day than yesterday however, it turned out to be a 21 hour workday. It seemed like nothing was going right. One of our pickups broke down, meaning we had to replace a fuel pump on the side of the road. We also had to purchase two semi truck batteries and replace them on the side of the freeway. When we arrived at the job site, the alternator went out on one of our semi-trucks and had to be replaced. What else could go wrong? It seemed that all of our equipment needed repaired. When we finally got everything running the forklift broke down, having to replace an ignition switch.

We were removing honey off the hives, they weigh between 25-50 lbs per box and we carried about 250 of them between the two nights. It was extremely exhausting! The part that really got me was the driving. The bees are in Fresno and was over a two and a half hour drive one way and all the hives we’re at 3 different locations. I kept talking to God asking him to give me strength not to fall asleep while I was driving or even as the passenger to help keep the driver awake. We were able to get through both nights and days without any harm or accidents and Im praising God for this. He is an incredible God and always watches over us blanketing us with His protection. He also helped to keep us from losing our tempers, and getting frustrated. God kept us all calm during the storm of problems. Psalms 16:8 I have set the lord always before me I shall not be move.

Which side of Christ will you choose?

Since the safeguard of shelter in place was implemented, my husband and I started watching Christian movies every night after dinner. We didn’t realize the multiple sources at our fingertips that offer free movies. The movie, Jackson Run was so impacting that I decided to share a portion with you.

There were three crosses on the day Christ died.

On the right hand of Christ was a criminal that looked inwardly on the mistakes he made.

He knew he deserved to be punished.

In his need, he cried out to Jesus.

On the left hand of Christ was another criminal.

He was only concerned with what he saw.

In his corrupted mind, The only unjust death was his own.

So he lashed out at Jesus.

Now both of these men had a choice.

To either accept or reject Jesus Christ.

But, the unique thing about these two very different men,

Is that they both were on the cross.

They both were facing the same end. And that end was death.

On the middle cross, was Jesus Christ.

On the right cross was nailed a man who found the way.

And, on the left cross was nailed a man who lost his way.

Which side of Christ will you choose?

STORY FROM THE BIBLE; ”One of the criminals who had been hanged [on a cross beside Him] kept hurling abuse at Him, saying, “Are You not the Christ? Save Yourself and us [from death]!” But the other one rebuked him, saying, “Do you not even fear God, since you are under the same sentence of condemnation? We are suffering justly, because we are getting what we deserve for what we have done; but this Man has done nothing wrong.” And he was saying, “Jesus, [please] remember me when You come into Your kingdom!” Jesus said to him, “I assure you and most solemnly say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.””

Lord, you are my Rock!

“The teachings of the LORD are perfect; they give new strength. The rules of the LORD can be trusted; they make plain people wise. The orders of the LORD are right; they make people happy. The commands of the LORD are pure; they light up the way. Respect for the LORD is good; it will last forever. The judgments of the LORD are true; they are completely right.

People cannot see their own mistakes. Forgive me for my secret sins. Keep me from the sins of pride; don’t let them rule me. Then I can be pure and innocent of the greatest of sins. I hope my words and thoughts please you. LORD, you are my Rock, the one who saves me.”

Lord, you are my Rock, the one that saves me!

I Am Your God!

When I worry and allow fear and doubt to consume my thoughts, I feel paralyzed inside. I have a choice between continuing down the road of despair or call on God and claim His promise to rescue me. God said in Isaiah 41:10; ”So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Praise God for five promises in one verse; 1. I am with you. 2. I am your God. 3. I will strengthen you. 4. I will help you. 5. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Gods word helps me to stay focused on Him instead of all the circumstances that surround me. If it’s a disease, death of a friend or family, the stock market crashing, depressed economy or missed relationships, God is with me, he is my God, he gives me his strength, God helps me, and I know that He upholds me above my circumstances with his righteous right hand. And that’s a promise! 👍

Obstacles

I’m watching our shortest dog right now. His legs are 6 inches long all the way stretched at best. I called to him to give him some much needed love. I guess I never really payed attention to all the obstacles he faces every day in his regular routine. He has to walk around shoes and over what looks like an ocean of one blanket without being tangled up. Past my 6 year old who is attempting to get his attention but he actively ignores and dodge his older brother pepper that acts as though he’s pumped full of caffeine all the time. Sneak by his sister, Grace that swats him just to be ornery all to try and jump on the couch next to me but doesn’t quite make it all the way up! Poor little guy. His day is very challenging to say the least but that doesn’t stop him from prevailing. This reminds me of the devil. He waits around every corner throwing all kinds of obstacles in our path to trip us up. All the more reason to stay vigilant and alert keeping our eyes fixed on God. He will guide us and lead us toward victory.

God Is A Chain Breaker!

Most people have some kind of an addiction. Webster says an ADDICTION is the habit of activity, often injurious. Sometimes we call it a craving, fixation, a hang-up, obsession, or even a sweet tooth. However, it is dependence or enslavement to something that is difficult to break the chains of bondage. My personal obsession or addiction is my sweet tooth. I cannot go one day without chocolate in some form, cookie, cake, ice cream, candy, or pudding. This is not a healthy lifestyle for me personally. Is it a sin? No, but I want to lose weight and it’s hard to do with the choices I make. Diabetes runs in my family and I don’t want to suffer from this illness. I allow chocolate to control my emotions which confirms no self-control. The most important thing that I tend to forget is my body is the temple of God. My desire is to keep God’s temple as healthy as I can by making good choices and demonstrating self-control. Thank you, Lord, for helping me battle my addiction. I pray that whatever your addiction may be that you will surrender it to God. With God all things are possible. 🙏
